When you
commission Patty to paint a portrait she will initially meet with you to
become acquainted with everyone involved in the creation of the portrait and
to understand your needs and requirements for the portrait. Medium, size,
background preference, clothing choice and any special elements will be
discussed and agreed on.
The next
step is the photographic session. Patty will make from fifty to one hundred
and fifty photographs of the subject at the location chosen. She photographs
the subject in several different settings, using different lighting, poses
and outfits if desired.
You will
then meet to review selected photographs and to agree on a final pose.
At this
point, Patty paints a small oil sketch for your final approval on the pose.
This sketch is not for likeness.
When the
portrait is completed a final sitting will be arranged to make any small
adjustments you may wish and arrangements for delivery.
