The paintings and ruminations of Patty Bailey Sheets

"Apricot" my friend and muse

My beautiful companion of eighteen years died about three weeks ago. I painted her so many times because she was so beautiful. She was one of those cats that always wanted to be wherever I was. If I were painting in my studio, she was there in her window shelf. If I went downstairs to get something to drink, she followed. She had a wonderful long cat life and she will be missed.

I am so sorry, Patty. She was a true spirit mate.

What a beautiful tribute to a faithful friend! You were blessed to have each other. So sorry.

I will always remember the whining call of "Apricot" as we were performing our yoga. She was singing the song of her people! Good memories, good life and the painting reflects.
